Burke County Schools DTL Conference

To meet the requirements of the Gizella Abramson Mandate, the Holocaust is supposed to be taught at all grades, 6-12, in ELA/English and in Social Studies. This session is designed to provide support for teachers in implementing this mandate through providing resources, links to suggested curriculum and lessons provided by NCDPI and the NC Council for the Holocaust, and best practices to encourage empathy and critical thinking. Attendees will be provided with resources and with follow-up support.
